The
Neighborhood:
Room is located
only one short block from
the Ditmars
Subway stop in the community of Astoria NY, a Greek, Italian and
Irish community in Queens. This
neighborhood (located only 15 minutes by subway from Midtown
Manhattan)
is one of the safest in New York City. It is perfectly safe to walk
home alone at any time of the day or night. The neighborhood is
diverse, and has a large young professional population under 35 years
old.
Description:
Our guest room is ideal for someone who is looking for a comfortable, private, and quiet place to stay for the short-term, or for someone who visits NYC regularly and would like an affordable place in New York
City they can stay in. From your window you can see the Hellgate Bridge
as it passes through Astoria, and in the distance Manhattan.
This
room is available for short-term rent only (depending on availability)
because it also doubles as a guest room for family or friends in our 3 bedroom, 2 story
apartment. My wife and I are both in our 30's, and are the only ones
who live here besides our cat (who we don't allow in the guest room).

If
you have a computer, the room is equipped with broadband (both ethernet
and wireless) otherwise there's an Internet café and coffee
shop right downstairs. We have a full-size washer and dryer, and full
kitchen (with your own cupboard and fridge space) that you are welcome
to use during your stay.
We
pride ourselves on providing a clean, private, convenient, quiet, and
safe place for our guests.

Easy
to find, safe, and only one short block from subway (4 minute
walk). Right on Ditmars.
A
short-term fully-furnished room in a large, clean, quiet apartment.

south-facing (sunny) corner room with windows on two walls.
Queen-size
bed, night stand, & alarm clock/radio.

washer/dryer available for your use.
Desk
& dresser.
Broadband
(if you have your own computer). (Wireless or Ethernet)
In-room
television with cable.
Independent
internet café & coffee shop right downstairs
(Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, grocery store, post office & many
restaurants and take-out all within 1 block).
All
utilities included. (Heated in winter, Air Conditioned [A/C] in summer)
Shared
bathroom and kitchen. (We usually get ready for work in the restroom
between 6-7am, but we can be flexible to your schedule.)
Hosts
that respect your privacy and request the same from you.
Your
own set of keys. You can come and go as you want.
Located
only 15 minutes by subway from Midtown Manhattan, and 20 minutes from
Times Square.
By
taxi 20 minutes from JFK, 10 minutes from LaGuardia (cheaper cab fare,
and closer to airport than Manhattan).
Terms:
Available
for ONE person only - (sorry, no exceptions).
Absolutely no smoking inside.
Available
short or medium-term depending on availability.
Must
pay in advance (weekly is fine).
No
entertaining or company please.
We
will maintain a quiet environment for you. We both work and request the
same from you.
Nightly (less than 7 days): $75/night (4 night minimum)
Monthly: Available depending on our schedule.
